What We've Done
Since August 2015, Ground Up has been a proud part of the evolution of Los Angeles. Our team has empowered communities across the county, generated support for thousands of new units of housing, and advocated on behalf of hundreds of tenants. A sampling of our community engagement work includes the Palladium Residences, Frank Gehry’s 8150 Sunset, the first American installment of the UK-based Arts Club, and halting the imminent eviction for dozens of seniors at Westwood Horizons Senior Facility.
Ground Up organizers meet community members on their level, provide education on what is happening in their neighborhood, and help to engage and activate their voices.
